I have been watching the parade on tv since i was alittle kid, But the television coverage is just terrible. I think they show like 15 minutes total of the actual parade, the rest is artists singing at the Grove, it is a shame. I guess to experience the parade as i remember it, i must see it in person. There are some things that you should not change, this parade is one of them. Thanks alot to the people who have ruined it. Merry Christmas

Hi LizzyJ, Welcome! Yes it gets crowded try to be there at least 45 minutes before and you'll find a nice spot. Don't forget the chairs, Blankets and HOT COCOA!.- (and some munchies) you and your family will have a blast. My 5 year old can't wait, we will be taking our 7 month old son for the first time too.
I'm not too sure about bringing pets, although I've seen pets before. Have Fun
