Golden Valley High School (Merced, CA)

The Golden Valley Cardinal Regiment has won over one thousand sweepstakes awards in parade competitions throughout California. The concert bands have received unanimous Superior ratings at every festival for the last 18 years. The jazz ensembles are also award winning groups.

Indiana Area Senior High School Band (Indiana, PA)

The Indiana High School Marching Band is proud to represent Indiana County and the town of Indiana, PA. The band has a tradition of excellence that includes appearances in the Citrus, Orange, and Fiesta Bowl Parades as well as the Dixie Classic Parade, Azalea Festival Parade and numerous Disney World appearances.

Los Osos High School Band (Rancho Cucamunga, CA)

This is the eleventh year of the Los Osos Regiment to compete in many field show tournaments with SCSBOA. This is their first entry with the Hollywood Christmas Parade. The Los Osos Regiment has earned numerous recognitions in various states such as “Superior with Distinction” and has received gold, silver and bronze at SCSBOA field show championships.

The Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity Color Guard is based out of Oceanside, California. They will be wearing the Marine Corps Dress Blues. The Color Guard is commanded by Sergeant Robert Mohlmaster.

The Los Angeles Police Emerald Society Pipes & Drums was formed in 1999 and its members represent law enforcement agencies from the greater Los Angeles area. Their primary duties include civic ceremonies, parades and memorial services throughout Southern California. They have had numerous television appearances including The Closer and CSI: New York. The band’s kilts are the All-Ireland Green Tartan in honor of the rich Irish-American history in law enforcement. Scott Walton directs this group.

The Gadsden Elementary School District #32 Marching Band is from San Luis, Arizona which is located on the border of San Luis Rio Colorado, Mexico.  The marching band is composed of approximately 160 students from grades 4-8, including some students who have returned from high school to march with the band.  What distinguishes this band from the others is that it includes field type showmanship when performing in parades.  The band is under the direction of Martin Peraltaa Sr. and his son Martin Peralta Jr.

Under the direction of alumni Chuck Jay, the Villa Park High School Marchin’ Spartans from Villa Park, California are frequent competitors throughout the southland. The Spartans’ are a crowd favorite and an award winning parade competitor. Part of a comprehensive music program, the Marchin’ Spartans bring high energy and great music to the parade. This marks their second consecutive year marching in the Hollywood Christmas Parade. The band received Sweepstakes honors at both the LA and Orange County Korean Days parades.
