Beautiful horses and their riders will take your breath away as they prance down the streets of Hollywood. The riders enjoy showing their horses with all the fancy gear, whether its all silver or some other decoration.  Some of these groups will delight you with their tricks and drill team precision.

Mario’s Andalusians

Mario’s Andalusians have been together for about thirteen years and have participated in many exhibitions. Some of the horses participating have won national titles in halter. The horses will be doing different steps such as the Spanish WalkPassage and Piaffe. All of the riders are wearing charro outfits composed of tight pants and jacket trimmed with leather, as well as a Mexican sombrero.

C-Star Pleasure Riders & CompanyThe C-Star Pleasure Riders & Company is a family and fun oriented group out of Whittier, California. All of the riders enjoy showcasing a variety of costumes and horses with residents all over Southern California. Members of the group have participated in numerous parades and garnered many first place trophies and buckles. The C-Star Pleasure Riders are proud to feature riders from the El Monte Mounted Police volunteers unit which is a community service oriented group dedicated to improving public relations with police organizations and lives of the citizens of El Monte and its sister cities.

Rancho La Laguna specializes in the training of horses in the art of Alta Escuela, also known as high school training. The group is wearing traditional Mexican attire of the charro rider. The horses are wearing traditional charro saddles and breast collars as well. The founder and director Elias Jimenez holds several championship titles. He has successfully trained, shown in competition and appeared in several films, along with his talented horses.

The Painted Ladies Rodeo Performers are a group of rodeo performers who all ride American Paint Horses with a range of different colors and patterns. This group trick rides, trick ropes and dances their way down the street. The Painted Ladies have put on shows in various rodeos and parades throughout California and Nevada. They have performed at several Tournament of Roses Parades and Hollywood Christmas Parades. All of the riders have full-time jobs, but find time to impress the crowds with their horses and tricks.

The women from the Victorian Roses Ladies Riding Society present living history from the 1880’s Victorian Era and portray how cosmopolitan women from 120 years ago dressed. Most of the Ladies have designed and sewn their own custom dress and matching parasol using fabrics that would have been used in the 19th century. You may have seen them on TV New Year’s Day in the Tournament of Roses Parade. As well as parades, the Ladies do various events to raise money for charity.

The War Horse & Military Heritage Foundation (WHAM) is a 501-3c, dedicated to promoting “equine spirit from the past.” They provide trained horses and experienced riders, for educational presentations at schools, public events, parades, festivals and film & television. In addition, they offer clinics, demonstrations, lectures, and training in various disciplines.

In keeping with their focus on the horse in military history, they present a multitude of famous cavalry regimental uniforms from around the world and various eras. WHAM presents a broad range of cavalry history for educational shows, festivals, and schools, that are visually stunning as well as historically accurate.
