Get to travel on Thanksgiving to Phoenix, drive to Disneyland on Saturday, watch the 10th grader's high school band from the Phoenix area march past the grand stands, and fly back to work. Will see the landscape on the trip to Hollywood and, from photos of 2010 parade a gay men's chorus. Have marched in the Thanksgiving Day parade in Detroit for about 5 years. America's Thanksgiving Parade from Detroit has a precision brief case drill team. The difference in what is presented to the television audiance about the two cities is dramatic. Call this an educational tour for me. Wonder how busy Disneyland will be on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

Will the parade be aired live in LA on local LA TV? I have many friends in LA who don't have cable and won't be able to watch it in December on the Hallmark Channel.
